In my debut book starring a Pakistani American Muslim family, a Hard of Hearing (HoH) and taxi-driving father sometimes feels ashamed of his yellow cab, but all his daughter sees in it is wonder. When Baba has to miss her school’s dance because of his long hours, she decides to throw her own party to celebrate him. Illustrations by Nadia Alam.
